PSAT Course Schedules

Fall 2008

Because the PSAT also serves as the qualifying examination for the National Merit Scholarship program, preparation for this test is as important to some students as preparation for the SAT has been for most students. The PSAT qualifying index will be some value in the range from 60 through 240, and is determined by adding together the math score, the critical reading score and the writing skills score.

The composition of the PSAT is as follows:

(1) Math, 2 sections, 25 minutes each
(2) Critical Reading, 2 sections, 25 minutes each
(3) Writing Skills, 1 section, 30 minutes

The total time for the PSAT is 2 hours and 10 minutes. The writing skills section is in multiple choice form.

As an added incentive for students to begin their preparation with the PSAT program, registration for this program automatically entitles students to register for any of our SAT programs, at no additional charge.

The tuition for the PSAT program is $695. Tuition for either the verbal or the math portion of the program is $499.
